- Collette did a great job - everything went according to plan
- Our two guides were great - good English, very knowledgeable, show great pride in their country!
- The properties were OK, some issues but generally good. Wi-fi everywhere.
- I don't like riding on a bus; visibility only on your side; can't stop to satisfy a curiosity
- Humidity is a killer! Any plan to use quick-dry clothing is out the window. Nothing will dry, ever!
- Our meals were always a well stocked buffet style at a restaurant designed specifically for tour buses. (These types of facilities do not exist in the US) Occasionally we were on our own for lunch with great recommendations from our guides.
- Costa Rican food seemed fairly bland. Always rice and black beans, lots of chicken. Never had a spicy dish, no jalapeno peppers! Breakfast options were a little weak, not much for pastries.
- GREAT coffee!
- You can use credit cards everywhere. Everyone takes US dollars (although you will always get change back in colones).
- Prices seemed a bit less than home; we couldn't figure out the cost of gas since they don't post it.
- I had problems with my camera fogging up on the inside!
- There are no American cars here. Dominated by Toyota and Hyundai.
- Being close to the equator there are no "seasons"; just wet and dry. The sun rises at 5:30 AM and sets at 5:30 PM all year.
- Grieven had some beautiful tatoos!
- There seemed to be standard design for small single family homes; only saw one new one!
- The early starts each day are necessary since it gets dark by 5:30.
